What people are saying about Dream Catchers:

"Winston Churchill said 'There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man'. That's so true! Dreamcatchers has been such a blessing to our family. My oldest daughter has cerebral palsy and is partially paralyzed on her right side. This program has given her such confidence and drive. Everything from grooming and tacking to the actual riding is designed to tackle the issues that she faces. When she grooms, she is naming each area that the brush moves over, thus working on her speech. When she rides one of the wonderful program horses, she stretches to get instructions out of a mailbox, uses her right arm to hold a toy and then hands the toy to a helper, thus working on her OT. The simple act of riding is the PT portion, making her stronger and more limber.

She thinks that this program is fun and games, but has gained great motivation in life because of Dreamcatchers. She doesn't regress as much during the summer school break, and at her last IEP meeting I had such glowing reports from her teachers, commenting on what a difference they have seen in her. My child has seen what happens when new things are tried; in a supportive and gentle environment and from the back of a horse the world doesn't look as scary!   -- Parent of Rider
